What type of embroidery does loomé use?

loomé uses fine, precise threadwork influenced by Italian embroidery traditions — delicate and restrained, not heavy or dense. Every stitch is handled in our family's own atelier, from weaving the base fabric to the embroidery itself. It's the opposite of the heavy jaal and mirror-work that dominates the Pakistani market.

What makes loomé different from other Pakistani fashion brands?

loomé brings western design sensibility to eastern silhouettes — think the restraint of COS and the romantic prints of Zimmerman, expressed through kurtas and co-ord sets. Our family has been making fabric for 35 years, supplying the world's top luxury brands and Pakistan's top fashion houses. We decided to keep the best fabric and design the clothes ourselves.

How should I care for embroidered clothing?

Hand wash or use a delicate machine cycle in cold water. Do not wring. Lay flat to dry and iron inside out on medium heat to protect the threadwork. Store folded rather than hung to preserve the embroidery's shape.

Can the shirt and trousers be worn separately?

Yes. Both pieces are designed to work together as a set or separately with other items in your wardrobe.
